Miss Kari Virding, Miss Portland / Miss Oregon 2007 is ambitious ! She has plans to be an executive director for a non-profit organization such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Kari is 24 years of age and is from Beaverton Oregon. She gave an outstanding vocal performance in Seaside that helped her become the new Miss Oregon 2007. We are looking forward to bringing her talent to Miss America and all across Oregon.

Kari Virding was crowned Miss Oregon 2007 on June 30th in Seaside Oregon on the 61st Anniversary of the Miss Oregon Pageant.
Kari Virding, who performed a vocal piece in the talent competition, received a scholarship with the title awarded at the Seaside Convention and Civic Center.
Kari, age 24 is an advocate for the Make-A-Wish Foundation Of America
Developed by the Miss America Organization, the Miss Oregon Scholarship Program exists to provide personal and professional opportunities for young women and to promote their voices in culture, politics and the community.
The program provides a forum for today's young women to express their viewpoints, talents and accomplishments to audiences during the telecast and to the public-at-large during the ensuing year. Rich in history and social significance, the Miss Oregon Scholarship Program is a not-for-profit organization that has maintained a tradition for many decades of empowering American women to achieve their personal and professional goals, while providing a forum in which to express their opinions, talent and intelligence.
