ELIGIBILITY

STATEWIDE OPEN FOR MISS CONTESTANTS ONLY: Contestant must meet all of the eligibility requirements outlined in the Local Contestant Contract including age, residence, citizenship, education, personal characteristics, etc.

STATEWIDE SWEEPER FOR MISS CONTESTANTS ONLY: In addition to meeting all of the criteria outlined above, the contestant must also have been announced on stage as a top five finisher at a local Oregon pageant in the years 2017, 2018 or 2019. Contestants who possess top five finisher status are eligible to compete in both the Statewide Open and the Statewide Sweeper.

ADDITIONAL

The 2019 competition will take place May 3 and 4, 2019 in Roseburg, OR.

There will be a non-mandatory rehearsal on Friday, May 3, 6:30 PM.

On the morning of May 4, 2019 candidates will arrive at the interview location 15 minutes prior to their interview appointment (information to be released after all applications have been received).

The Open Pageant will start at 4:00 PM on the 4th, followed by the Sweeper Pageant at 7:30 PM.  All runner-ups in the Open will qualify for the Sweeper Pageant as will any young woman who finished as a runner-up in a local pageant in 2017, 2018 or 2019.

All candidates should bring a black, white and/or silver cocktail dress or jumpsuit for the opening introductions/onstage question.

Candidates must raise $100 in CMNH/MAO donations for each pageant in which they compete.  If a contestant has already raised $400 in CMNH/MAO donations she needs not raise any additional for this pageant season.

Open and Sweeper winners will receive a $250 educational scholarship (all scholarship rules and regulations apply).

Open and sweeper titleholders will receive an official Miss America crown (this will be a revolving crown so it must be returned to the program following the Miss Oregon Pageant in June) and sash. 

Like all state candidates, open and sweeper titleholders must raise $250 in CMNH donations for the state pageant.

Open and sweeper titleholders, along with at least one parent/guardian/chaperone must attend the Miss Oregon Spring Conference in Seaside May 17-19, 2019. Titleholders will be responsible for providing their own travel, meals (some meals are provided during the weekend) and lodging accommodations.

Open and sweeper titleholders must order provide payment for production attire by the May Workshop weekend.
